This work is by Naoko Murakami and Ryuji Shirai, potters from Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture.
The pieces that Murakami creates are simple, yet beautiful just to display on a cupboard. They have the warmth of handmade items and are highly functional, making any dish look delicious.
Shirai's works are vessels and accessories with animal and plant motifs that are wonderful even just to display as objects. As he is also an illustrator, his works are full of a unique worldview.
