Kazuaki Shimura is a potter from Chiba Prefecture. His blue and white porcelain works are appealing because they blend naturally into everyday life, neither too flashy nor too plain.

Based on painting techniques learned in Kyoto and Ishikawa, the source of his designs is diverse, including Chinese Ming Dynasty ceramics and antiques, as well as European antiques. Taking inspiration from designs that have been loved throughout history, he creates new tableware every day that suits modern life.

The molds for the vessels he created himself are designed to fit into Japanese lifestyles in terms of both design and size.
The brown iron rim gives the vessel a more refined look and matches beautifully with the pale blue and white pattern.
It has a nostalgic and gentle atmosphere.

Shimura's simple and beautiful pottery is perfect as a gift for a loved one or as a treat for yourself.
