Kaneyuki's works are full of a unique worldview, using glazes that he has repeatedly mixed himself.
His signature work is the "Lines of Light" series. He focused on the "Hotarude" technique and was fascinated by the fact that the glaze is not merely decorative but also plays the role of the clay, which led him to develop his own technique called "Line Hotaru." This is a new form of expression in which the base is separated, the gaps are connected with lines of glaze, and then the piece is fired, allowing the glaze to shape the structure of the piece itself. This is a wonderful piece that combines porcelain and glass.
The "Mori" series exudes a sense of calm, as if surrendering yourself to the depths of nature.
The green glaze used in this series
The copper turns a rusty verdigris and moss-like green, giving the piece a sense of the passage of time and life.
The "Jun" series gives you a deep, sparkling moisture.
Although it is made of pottery and has a matte glaze,
It's strange because it looks like an empty bottle that has sunk to the bottom of the sea.
The "Egg" series will make you feel warm and relaxed just by using it.
As the name suggests, this vessel has a texture similar to that of an eggshell.
A vessel with a texture that is just like an eggshell.
It looks soothing and gives you a sense of relief when you hold it in your hand.
Each series has a completely different feel, making you want to use them for different occasions, from everyday wear to formal occasions.
